If you’re planning an Autumn wedding, you’re not alone.

In fact, Autumn is one of the most popular times of the year for getting married in Australia, and spring is equally popular. Perhaps it’s because of the weather elements that most couples choose to walk down the aisle and start their journey of a happy-ever-after during these seasons.

So, if you’re planning to get hitched this Autumn, we’ve got the seasonal flowers to sprinkle magic on your wedding day.

Mel, the Founder and Creative Director of Unique Wedding Flowers, reveals her secrets to the perfect Autumn florals.

“I create what the customer’s requirements are- using seasonal flowers, ” she says.

” When using seasonal flowers, it comes naturally to create a bouquet with what surrounds you; trying to use unavailable flowers puts pressure on yourself,” she continues.

“There are so many lovely flowers in Autumn—the last of the garden roses before winter, the hydrangeas that are turning colour, the Dalmatias still hanging in there. If you’re a native lover, pink ice proteas are flushing for one last time before the next. The greatness in all this is that I have these flowers on our farm.”

She explains, “When creating florals for a wedding, it is best to use seasonal flowers to avoid setting the bride up for disappointment. For instance, if the bride wants peonies but they are not in season, I would strongly suggest going with what’s in season and steering them in another direction.”

“Most of the time, the bride is guided by your experience with flowers and trusts you.”

You can trust Mel’s expertise and love of flowers to ensure your upcoming nuptials are picture-perfect. So why wait? Contact us today.
